Power spectral density analysis for nonlinear systems based on Volterra series

Abstract A consequence of nonlinearities is a multi-harmonic response via mono-harmonic excitation. similar phenomenon also exists in random vibration. The power spectral density (PSD) analysis vibration for nonlinear systems studied this paper. analytical formulation output PSD subject to the zero-mean Gaussian load deduced by using Volterra series expansion and conception generalized frequency function (GFRF). For class systems, growing exponential method used determine first 3rd-order GFRFs. proposed approach achieve system’s under narrow-band stationary input. relationship between peak parameters system discussed. By method, characteristics multi-band single-band input can be well predicted. results reveal that changing gives one-of-a-kind change PSD. This paper provides research prediction control real-world systems.
